This morning the Federal Circuit released one nonprecedential opinion and six nonprecedential orders. The nonprecedential opinion affirms a final decision of the Merit Systems Protection Board, which denied a request for corrective action under the Whistleblower Protection Act. Today the Federal Circuit released four nonprecedential opinions in employment, veterans, and patent cases. The court also released seven orders. The first comes in a case appealed from the Northern District of Alabama concerning a motion to transfer a Fair Labor Standards Act claim to the Court of Federal Claims. In 2020, the Federal Circuit addressed important questions regarding “pro-claimant” policies and rules governing the Department of Veterans Affairs.
