This morning, the Federal Circuit announced temporary inaccessibility of the courthouse to the public due to an incident in the vicinity of the National Courts Building. Shortly later, the court announced that access to the National Courts Building was restored. Here is the full text of the two announcements.
Temporary Inaccessibility of the Courthouse (Announcement 8:24 am EDT)
Due to an ongoing incident in the vicinity of the National Courts Building, the courthouse is temporarily inaccessible to the public. The situation is actively developing, and access restrictions remain in effect until further notice.
Electronic filing is unaffected. The Clerk’s Office is providing limited public services during this period.
This notice will be updated as circumstances change.
Access to Courthouse Restored (Announcement 9:37 am EDT)
Access to the National Courts Building has been restored. All vehicle and pedestrian restrictions have been lifted, and normal access to the courthouse has resumed.
