Earlier this week, the Federal Circuit announced that on May 27 the court will launch a new caption generation utility for filers. The court explained that this feature “will allow parties and counsel associated with a case to easily generate the most up-to-date version of the case caption.” Here is the full text of the announcement.
On May 27, 2025, the court will launch a new caption generation utility for filers. This feature will allow parties and counsel associated with a case to easily generate the most up-to-date version of the case caption.
This new functionality will be found under the Utilities tab on the landing screen after logging into CM/ECF. Parties will have the option to either view the official case caption or save it in Word or HTML formats.
The court’s Electronic Filing Procedures will be updated on that date to reflect this addition.
