The Federal Circuit announced today that it will be closed and not hold oral arguments previously scheduled for Thursday, January 9 in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President Carter. Here is the full text of the announcement.
The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will be closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in observance of the National Day of Mourning for James “Jimmy” Earl Carter, Jr. Arguments scheduled for January 9, 2025, will be rescheduled. Counsel in affected cases will be notified by the Clerk’s Office.
For purposes of computation of time and motions to enlarge time under Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 26 and Federal Circuit Rule 26, January 9, 2025, will be considered a “legal holiday.” Our offices will reopen on Friday, January 10, 2025.
