This morning the Federal Circuit released two nonprecedential opinions. The first dismisses for lack of jurisdiction an appeal from the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, while the second affirms a judgment of the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Here are the introductions to the opinions.
Jordan v. McDonough (Nonprecedential)
William P. Jordan, III, seeks a higher disability rating under diagnostic code (DC) 5003-5260 for arthritis in both knees.1 The Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) denied Mr. Jordan a higher rating, finding he did not meet the requisite criteria. The United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (Veterans Court) affirmed the portion of the Board’s decision regarding DC 5260 and remanded the portion regarding DC 5003. Mr. Jordan appeals the portion of the Veterans Court’s decision affirming the denial of a higher rating under DC 5260. For the following reasons, we dismiss this appeal for lack of jurisdiction.
Castro v. McDonough (Nonprecedential)
Roland Castro appeals the decision of the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (“Veterans Court”) dismissing in part and denying in part his petition for a writ of mandamus. He also appeals the Veterans Court’s denial of his motion for full court review. We affirm.
