Opinions

This morning the Federal Circuit released two nonprecedential opinions and two Rule 36 judgments. The first opinion affirms a judgment in a pro se case appealed from the Court of Federal Claims, and the second opinion dismisses an appeal from the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims for lack of jurisdiction. Here are the introductions to the opinions and links to the Rule 36 judgments.

Beauvais v. United States (Nonprecedential)

Rachel Constant Beauvais appeals pro se from a decision of the Court of Federal Claims (“Claims Court”), finding lack of subject matter jurisdiction and transferring her case to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Because we agree that the Claims Court lacks jurisdiction and see no error in the decision to transfer the case, we affirm.

Howell v. McDonough (Nonprecedential)

Because Mr. Howell’s challenges to the Veterans Court’s decision fall outside our limited jurisdiction, we must dismiss Mr. Howell’s appeal.
