Here’s what you need to know about these two cases.
Regents of the University of California v. Broad Institute, Inc.
As explained in our argument preview, in this case the Federal Circuit will review a judgment of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in an interference proceeding concerning competing patent applications related to the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing system.
Jeffrey A. Lamken will argue for the Regents of the University of California.
Raymond N. Nimrod will argue for the Broad Institute.

ACLR, LLC v. United States
As explained in our argument preview, in this government contract case the Federal Circuit will review the Court of Federal Claims’s grant of the government’s motion for summary judgment.
