Opinions

This morning, the Federal Circuit released a precedential opinion and a nonprecedential opinion in two cases appealed from the Merit Systems Protection Board. The court also released five nonprecedential orders, which included three summary affirmances and two dismissals. Here are the introductions of the opinion and links to the orders.

Nordby v. Social Security Administration (Precedential)

Evan Nordby appeals the final decision of the Merit Systems Protection Board denying his request for differential pay for his military service in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the Army Reserve. Because Judge Nordby’s service does not meet the statutory requirements for differential pay, we affirm.

Williams v. Department of the Navy (Nonprecedential)

Eric Williams appeals from the final decision of the Merit Systems Protection Board (Board) denying his request for corrective action under the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA). For the following reasons, we affirm.
